R is for Rock Climbing

I had planned to catch up on posts tonight but I am tired from spending the afternoon with friends at the Kangaroo Point Cliffs trying out rock climbing.  It was organised by our friends Rachael & Pete (experienced climbers) to give kids a go at climbing and we took 2 of Aaron’s  nephews along.  Of course the adults in the group had a go as well.  I had never tried climbing before (indoor or outdoor) but always keen to give anything a go I thought I would try it. I didn’t have high expectations, for one I’m scared of heights, and two I’m usually never very good at sport or outdoor activities.  But I surprised myself.  I didn’t get higher than 4 metres or so but to get to that height I found it quite easy, plus the height thing didn’t bother me.  I didn’t give up before any panic set in.  Wise I think for my first attempt. Anyway, here’s the proof.

Rock climbing is fun. But my under arm strength is so wimpy I end up so sore! :P

My arms weren’t too sore today. For one I didn’t go to high, plus my personal trainer has been focusing on my arms recently to get rid of my bingo arms so my underam strength isn’t too bad at the moment.
